Made up of a rag-tag bunch of East-side advocates, we came to Plains FM with an idea to raise awareness of Eastern promise! Our boundary with the ocean, the destination of our rivers, and our first point of contact for climate change, the East has been devastated by nature's force, and is now healing by nature's grace. It holds our hopes and dreams for the red zone, and promises a green and vibrant future for our children's children – if we choose it. So our aim is to bring the love back to the East, tell the stories of those who are part of the solution, and inspire people to treasure this paradise as much as we do, because it belongs to all of us. The East is not dying, it is just being re-born! Our dedicated crew includes Mark Gibson (community powerhouse), Martha Baxendell (the tireless engine behind New Brighton Seaside Market), Tanya Didham (opinionated environmental harpie), Becca Bouffandeau (innovative faerie activist), David Hill (a proper serious journo) and Michelle Whitaker (grass-roots greenie), but if you have an amazing story idea burning inside, we'd love to hear about it!
